UNS S43000
430 SS is the most outstanding grade of the non-hardening (ferritic) straight chromium steel. Its non-hardening thermal treatment is used for heat and corrosion resistance in many conditions. The excellent corrosion resistance to nitric acid and organic acids contained in foods makes 430 the choice for many appliances, chemical or food handling equipment and decorative trim. Great for low stressed part operating at high temperatures, resistance up tp 1500°F. Type 430 is magnetic in all conditions.
